I grew up in a rigid and demanding family. Driven by a constant need for approval, the pressure of needing to be perfect impacted my self-esteem and mental health. In my teen years I struggled with an eating disorder which soon became an unhealthy preoccupation in my life. Walking through my mental health journey allowed me to be vulnerable and find courage and strength in my story. I can understand and empathize with thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that contribute to mental health roadblocks. This helps me with my approach as a therapist to work with individuals in achieving counselling goals.

I am a Registered Psychologist dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey of self- discovery, resilience and personal transformation. I help clients with improving their mood, identifying and working through personal triggers, uncovering negative beliefs keeping them stuck and empowering clients to feel more in control of their lives. I am known for my compassion, authenticity and and genuine  belief in my client's inherent capacity for change and making empowered choices. I create a safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences,.

I initially wanted to become a medical doctor but life happened and plans fell to the wayside as it sometimes does in life and I would say that I did not find this path, this path found me. I studied Psychology to learn more about myself after going through some life challenges and looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am glad I crossed paths with this field of study and that I am now able to help people overcome their own challenges. I find it deeply fulfilling when clients leave my session thanking me, knowing that I've made a difference in their lives. Remember, seeking therapy is a courageous step towards self-improvement and I am here to walk alongside you on this transformative path. Together, we will uncover negative thought patterns and positive inner resources to help you create a more fulfilling life and satisfying life.

My professional journey in healthcare has been profoundly rewarding. With over 15 years of experience as a nurse, I have acquired invaluable expertise across various disciplines, including adult and geriatric acute in-patient psychiatry, surgery and community health. Completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of patient care. I am now pursuing my aspiration of becoming a Registered Psychologist, having recently completed a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I look forward to opportunities that lie ahead in this new chapter of my career.

In my leisure, I take pleasure in traveling with my family and friends. I also engage in knitting and enjoy watching thought-provoking shows and documentaries .
